This week i want to put the spotlight on a Belgian athlete. Jean-Michel Saive is the best tabletennis player Belgium ever had. He participated in 4 Olympic Games (2004 Athens, 2000 Sydney, 1996 Atlanta and 1992 Barcelona). This year he wants to go to his 5th Olympic Games. That’s a great perfomance. The problem is that only the top in the ranking are automatically qualified. Saive stood ex aequo with Swedish player Persson. The ITF wanted that they played a play-off. They both refused cause they deserve to go to the Olympics. The ITF reacted by looking at the decimals and now Saive has to play qualification matches. I think that it’s so unfair cause Saive is still one of the best Tabletennis players in the world.
And now he proved it buy reaching the semifinals at the TOP 12 tournaments. Congratulations Jean-Michel!!! Your still one of the best and you deserve much more credit that you can right now!!!

After defeating Henin in the quarter finals and Ivanovic in the finals Maria Sharapova is the new queen. Djokovic is the new king after defeating the unbeatable Federer and revalation Tsonga in the finals. Congratulations to both of them.
